Follow-up Activities
- Get back into quad small groups or committees
and brainstorm ideas for a service project in the
area. List ideas as a whole chapter. Narrow down
ideas to a top three and determine key people that
will investigate opportunities before the next
chapter meeting.
- Ask each member to write in their journal
several "random acts of kindness" (R.A.K.) they
could perform. Challenge sisters to complete as many
as possible in the next month. Allow a few moments
at each meeting for members to share their R.A.K.
experiences (perhaps uncovering the source of
something done for a sister?). Offer prizes at the
end of the month for the member(s) that were able to
carry out the most.
- Ask members to write a note/letter to someone
that helped them develop their personal leadership
(key) qualities, and share how they are using them
in Alpha Phi, on campus, and/or in the community.
- Invite members (perhaps seniors) to share
their story of the time they utilized their key
qualities at future meetings. (Example: at a
meeting, share 1-2 stories from scholarship winners
or Alpha Phi Emergency Aid Recipients.)
- Donate or pledge to
the Foundation today or within the next month.
Fulfill those pledges within the next two months.
